In My Mailbox #14

In My Mailbox (IMM) is a weekly feature organised by The Story Siren. IMM is a post where you can show which books entered your house and it also gives you a chance to say thank you to the people that kindly sent them. To find out more about how you can join in, click here

I have four newbies to Show off this week. Take a look.

In case you can't see them clearly, the books are:

The first three books I got an Amazon and the fourth book I found for 50p in a charity shop. I love charity shops! You can click on the books to be linked over to Goodreads for a detailed summary. I basically got the writing books as they are the ones that seem to come most recommended by published writers, especially The Creative Writing Coursebook, Edited by Julia Bell and Paul Magrs

To take the picture of the books, I put them on the floor and zoomed in. I just thought I'd show you what I could see through the lense before I hit zoom.

That cute and curious little fringe-challenged ragamuffin is my Shih-Tzu, Ewok. Cute eh? The leg on the left belongs to Rikku, my Border Collie, who's a bit more camera shy!

Leave me a comment if you want me to check out your IMMs, or if you've got any feedback on the new editions to my paper family.

  1. The Shack is so AWESOME. In the beginning Young narrates a ton of unhelpful details, but if you stick with it until the protagonist actually gets to the shack, it's amazing. It's cool that you're a writer, too.

I LOVE the deign of your blog!

Here's my IMM, if you'd like to take a look.

    1. I hope so! It hasn't caused any glitches yet (*touches some wood...not in a filthy way*)so it's already doing better than the coffee cup one!

I hope my creative writing book doesn;t end up as a bookshelf filler...so many do... sigh.
